No additional transaction or payment processing fees are charged.
Quotes are valid for 14 days. Component pricing and availability may change after this period due to supplier pricing fluctuations, stock availability, or circumstances outside PC Prodigy’s control.
If significant changes are required before ordering, PC Prodigy will contact the customer to discuss available options before proceeding.
By accepting a quotation or proceeding with payment, you authorise PC Prodigy to source and purchase the required computer components, hardware, software, and related products necessary to complete your custom PC build.
PC Prodigy may use its supplier accounts and industry purchasing channels to obtain components required for your system. This allows PC Prodigy to provide competitive pricing, manage stock availability, and streamline the ordering process.
If a quoted component becomes unavailable, discontinued, or significantly delayed, PC Prodigy may contact the customer to discuss suitable alternatives.
Where replacement components are required, PC Prodigy will endeavour to provide alternatives of equal or better specifications unless otherwise agreed with the customer.
PC Prodigy may communicate with suppliers, distributors, manufacturers, and courier providers where required to source components, arrange delivery, and assist with warranty processes.
Manufacturer warranty terms and conditions remain applicable to individual components.
All PCs are custom-built to order based on specifications agreed with the customer.
Each system is individually configured, assembled, tested, and prepared according to the customer’s requirements.
Due to the personalised nature of custom-built systems, change-of-mind cancellations or returns may not be available once components have been ordered or assembly has commenced, except where required by the Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available to customers under the Australian Consumer Law.
If a system is faulty, defective, does not meet the agreed specifications, or otherwise fails to comply with applicable consumer guarantees, PC Prodigy will assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.
All custom-built PCs include a 12-month PC Prodigy warranty covering:
This PC Prodigy warranty is provided in addition to, and does not replace or limit, any rights and remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees may apply beyond the 12-month PC Prodigy warranty period.
After the initial 12-month PC Prodigy warranty period, individual components may continue to be covered by their original manufacturer warranty.
Where applicable, PC Prodigy can assist customers with manufacturer warranty claims.
Additional labour or service fees may apply for assistance with manufacturer warranty claims or other services outside the PC Prodigy warranty period, where permitted by law.
The PC Prodigy warranty does not cover issues caused by:
These exclusions do not limit any consumer guarantees or other rights that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Upgrades, modifications, repairs, and additional services requested after completion of the original build are charged separately.
PC Prodigy may assist with systems containing customer-supplied components where agreed.
Customer-supplied components are not covered by the PC Prodigy warranty.
Any manufacturer warranty applicable to customer-supplied components remains the responsibility of the original manufacturer or supplier.
PC Prodigy is not responsible for faults directly caused by incompatible, defective, incorrectly installed, or unsuitable customer-supplied components.
Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
PC Prodigy respects customer privacy and takes reasonable steps to protect customer information and data.
During repair, configuration, setup, troubleshooting, or installation services, PC Prodigy may require access to a customer’s computer system, operating system, applications, or user accounts to complete the requested work.
Customers are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important files and data before providing a device for service.
While reasonable care is taken during all work performed, customers acknowledge that existing hardware faults, storage failures, software problems, or other technical issues may result in data loss.
Customers should maintain appropriate backups and remove or secure sensitive personal information where possible before providing devices for service.
PC Prodigy will only access customer data where reasonably required to complete the requested service and will not intentionally copy, disclose, or use customer information for purposes unrelated to providing the requested service.
Shipping and local pickup options are available.
Shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise specified in the quotation.
All shipped systems are packaged carefully and shipped using appropriate delivery services.
Where available and agreed, shipping insurance or appropriate transit coverage may be arranged for the value of the system.
PC Prodigy is not responsible for delivery delays caused by couriers, suppliers, or circumstances outside PC Prodigy’s reasonable control.
Where goods are lost or damaged during delivery, PC Prodigy will work with the applicable courier or insurer to resolve the issue.
Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies available to customers under the Australian Consumer Law.
PC Prodigy is not responsible for issues arising directly from:
PC Prodigy’s liability is subject to the rights and remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, remedy, liability, or obligation that cannot legally be excluded, restricted, or modified.
By accepting a quotation, making payment, or instructing PC Prodigy to commence work, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
The customer confirms that:
Any changes requested after approval may incur additional costs or delays.
Where a change affects the agreed specifications or price, PC Prodigy will advise the customer before proceeding with the additional work or cost.
PC Prodigy complies with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
For major failures with services, you are entitled to cancel your service contract and receive a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for its reduced value.
You are also entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage resulting from a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee.
For major failures with goods, you may be entitled to choose a refund or replacement.
Where a failure with goods or services is not a major failure, you may be entitled to have the problem rectified within a reasonable time.
These consumer guarantees operate independently of, and in addition to, any voluntary warranty offered by PC Prodigy.
